So much has gone on in the past few weeks. We ended June with Ryans third birthday !! So much fun , Aunt Sandy and Uncle Ron came for a surprise visit ! I knew they were coming , but no one else. You know how hard that was for me to keep a secret !? We had a great time visiting and had a mini reunion with Uncle Jim , Patty and Terri and Sheila. Also , we went to see Bushwalla again , so much fun !!
The boys brought their guitars this time and Billy signed Dylan and Jake's guitars.
Billy is an awesome entertainer and such a nice guy.He will be touring with Jason Mraz this summer so if you get a chance check them out ! Billy {aka} Bushwalla is the guy who is singing in the video of Owen being gangsta :-] That's Owen favorite song. Well , now it's time to get ready for round two of more family and friends. Corey will be coming in town soon and my parents and cousins for the Big family reunion and then in August we see Bushwalla AGAIN !!! wOOO~HOOO!! So long for now !!

I was cleaning out some of the closets today and came across some odds and ends of our transplant journey. As I was flipping through some of the cards and papers I realized it was three years ago today that we were terratified and preparing for our journey. So many things have changed since then. Three years ago so many lives were turned upside down. It was three years ago that the doctors told us Owen had six months to live and Praise the Lord here we are three years later !!! What a blessing !! Going through all of this has made each of a stronger than we ever thought we were. It has opened our eyes to what is really important in life.
It has brought my extened family closer. We are so grateful for all the support we received along the way. Some for family , friends , complete strangers.
Also just this year in Jan. we received a letter from Dylans Bone Marrow donor. It was the best mail we EVER recived. There are not enough words to express how thankful we are that he unselfishly donated his marrow to Dylan !

Well , yesterday was a very busy day for ALL the boys. We got over a thousand bails of hay in before the rain came !! Then started plowing the field so they can get the corn in today ! Good work guys !!! We can't wait to see watch our corn pop up in rows !! We absolutely love country living , the simple life. So , glad my parents didn't raise me to be materialistic. Well , that's it for now , need to go fix some lunch for the guys.

Last Saturday I was driving him to a end of school party and as we were driving he looks over at me with a HUGE grin and says I'm offically a FRESHMAN !!! My baby is growing up !! It blows my mind that I have a child starting High School , I'm OLD...sigh....but I don't feel old, at least not all the time ;-]

Well last night the boys decided to go fishing !!! This is a FAVORITE pass time in this house !! Yesterday was a perfect day too! Although it started off rather gloomy , but by afternoon it was BEAUTIFUL. So when the boys came home from school Jay loaded up everyone and we headed out to the lake.

A Boy Needs A Grandpa

A boy needs a Grandpa...
For man-to-man talks,
To go hand in hand
On companionable walks,

To fix up his toys
When they no longer go,
To tell him the things
Little boys want to know.

A boy needs a Grandpa...
To show him the way
To handle a puppy,
To teach him fair play.

To impart bits of wisdom
He's learned through the years,
That it's no disgrace
For a man to shed tears.

A boy needs a Grandpa...
To sit on his lap
And if no one is looking,
They take a wee nap,

Each wrapped in an aura
Of love and esteem,
Each smiling gently
At some special dream.

Jacobs Big Find

Every spring and fall my boys love to go out and look for arrow heads. It's the best time to look for them because the farmers just plowed their fields. The boys including Jay have found numerous arrow heads and other tools the Native Americans used. Yesterday after school they decided to go out for a bit before church and boy Jacob found a beautiful spearhead ! He was so excited because he hardly finds anything. He said when he saw it his head went numb ! Ha , they could hardly wait to come home and show me.

God ALWAYS provides

The past few months Owen has been REALLY wanting a turtle. So, I called all the pet stores around here to see if they had any . I found one , but they wanted $80.00 for it and that was on SALE! A bit pricey for me :] So , I decicided to look online and we saw a few , but with shipping and everything it would still be a bit of money. And of course after it rains all the boys have been going out looking for one, no luck. Until I was comming home from school with Owen and I saw one crossing the ROAD!! Errrr...slammed the breaks put on my flashers and grabbed that sucker :] Owen had NO IDEA what I was doing , he was looking at me like I had completley gone bonkers..ha...until he saw me with the TURTLE...then he's said "mom your AWESOME , how did you see that and know what it was?" I told him God ALWAYS provides :]
